Additional Information

Kwelita Samson Ncedani was born and grew up in Aliwal North on 19 June 1960. His family moved to settle in Dimbaza in 1978 where he completed his matric at Kuyasa High School. Sam cut his political teeth in Dimbaza where he was an active member of the South African Youth Congress.

After working at different factories in Dimbaza he joined the Border Council of Churches and later moved to Kagiso Trust where he worked until 1994. He has been the Member of the Eastern Cape Provincial Legislature since 1994.

Sam has been the member of the Regional Executive Committee of the ANC since 1990. He is also a member of the Provincial Executive Committee, He recently been transferred from the Department of Housing, Local Government and Traditional Affairs as the Member of the Executive Council in the Eastern Cape, Provincial Government.

Sam lives in Beacon Bay, East London with his wife Noludumo and two sons, Samkelisiwe 7 and Khanya 4.

Activities Provide an internal inspection/ audit service to the department

Provide a support service to the Superintendent General

Manage the delivery of co-ordinate and integrated social services

Provide support services to the department

Has the constitutional mandate to drive departmental processes and is accountable as the Executive Authority of the department to the Provincial Legislature.
